Hello everyone! My name is Daniel Wheaton, and I am thrilled to get to meet you and start my EDCI journey with you. Currently, I am on the cusp of completing my Economics degree, along with a Business minor. As I wrap up my studies, I couldn’t be more excited about the future and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

Throughout my academic journey, I’ve always been captivated by the power of education and the role that technology can play in enhancing learning experiences. I have always heard great things about the EDCI courses so I thought it would make a great summer class. I firmly believe that acquiring the skills to utilize technology effectively in teaching and educating others will not only be applicable but also incredibly valuable in my future career endeavors. The ability to connect, engage, and empower others through innovative and interactive methods is a prospect that truly ignites my passion.

Although I originally am from Sask, I have spent my high school years and university career on this beautiful island. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to call this place my home during these formative years. The island’s picturesque landscapes, vibrant culture, and warm-hearted people have left an indelible mark on my character and perspective.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I am an inherently work-driven individual. I thrive on challenges, continuously seeking opportunities to broaden my knowledge and skill set. The joy of learning and the satisfaction of pushing my limits are what truly motivate me. With a strong foundation in economics and business, I eagerly look forward to exploring new frontiers and acquiring further expertise in the realms of technology and education.

When I’m not immersed in my studies or pursuing professional growth, you can often find me indulging in various outdoor activities. Whether it’s skiing, hiking, biking around, camping, or simply basking in the sun on a beach, these are the things I’m taking advantage of every day out here.

As I embark on this course, I eagerly anticipate not only the acquisition of knowledge and skills but also the opportunity to connect with each and every one of you. I believe that the learning experience is enriched through collaboration, sharing perspectives, and building meaningful relationships. So, I look forward to getting to know all of you and embarking on this exciting journey together.
